Saw that the one on Singel close to Bulldog and old Doors will become a smoker friendly bar, affiliated with Old Dampkring2. It took quite sometime for someone to buy this place, it was empty for years now, was wierd for a town like Dam to see this as it's really busy part of the city.

That is fantastic news!! Hope it opens early, as seats in the window were the perfect place to watch the city get going in the morning. Watching sit empty for as long as it has was a huge mystery. I was really hoping that maybe Baba would move over there, but this works!!!

True! Had some great time in this shop, remember smoking some of the "christmas pollen"
with a coffee and watching the concentration of people going by. The interior is sure not gonna be like back then, but it sure is a great location for a smoke. Don't know the openning date but they must working on it.

I wonder if they'll have the old sign on the toilet door that bluntly said ' SHIT SOMEWHERE ELSE '
I'm in shocks and stares

Wait, what? Aren't we just talking about a smoker's friendly bar here? Why would they include "coffeeshop" in the name..?

I am also pretty sure that in the name was "Coffeeshop Amsterdam". Dampkring#2 is "Coffeeshop Amsterdam" now and maybe the name of the new bar is something like "Amsterdam Coffeeshop Bar" or they are a coffeeshop, too but I don´t think so.

I don't think it actually said 'bar', because I remember thinking that it was supposed to be one, not a coffeeshop, and wondering whether to check it out. But I didn't.
