Have now been to the Korte Koningsstraat Stix, and its bigger than the other. Pretty good inside, funky menu that's a black screen until you press a button at the bottom, then it all lights up. Completely gimmicky, but a nice touch all the same. From what I could see it was the same menu as the other shop, and we got more of that Temple Ball - fine stuff! We didn't stay but it seemed like a good place to chill, plenty of space and the staff were friendly enough.

NEPALESE TEMPLE BALL KICKS ARSE!

The big stix is better to chill in but the small one also good for a smoke before one of the many restaurants on that street.

All staff friendly and chatty.

Cannot recommend Nepalese temple ball enough! :P :P :P

nice chilled vibe in here, After reading various threads, where many people reccommended the temple ball from here.
1g for E12,50, must admit I was expecting to pay more.
This was a really nice smoke made me feel all calm and floaty but not in a sleepy way, tho I did get quite blasted that day :D

Would the menu be the same in both Stix? Or would it have some similarities

As far as I can remember it was the same menu in both shops. They definately both have the black menu that illuminates when you press a button, and the list seemed pretty damn similar. Having said that, I was specifically going for Temple Ball the 2nd time, so I wasn't looking that hard.

Went to the one on Korte Koningsstraat on two seperate occasions last week- on Monday to buy a gram of Temple Ball, and then on Tuesday to buy a gram of Gunpowder, and another gram of Temple Ball.
This is a small, quietish coffeeshop, a little out of the hustle and bustle of the Central coffeeshops, but is worth the walk- I stayed just off the Dam, and it only takes a 10-15 walk to get there.
The Temple ball is truly delicious, and provided a nice, mellow uplifting high, that sustained me through the days.
The Gunpowder is also an accomplished product- by itself it was nice- sprinkle some onto tobacco in a joint.
To really get the best out of Gunpowder, sprinkle it onto weed in a joint, and it will enhance the effect- as a friend of mine said, its like a mixer for alcohol.

Went to the Stix on Korte Koningsstraat in February. What can I say? An amazing shop. Took me a while to work out where the menu was despite the guy pointing directly to the mirror/black screen that hides it.

Bought 1g of Temple Ball and 1g Indian Creme to take back as a souveneir. Both were fantastic though the Indian Creme is the best thing I've ever smoked in my life and the five people who got a taster of it all agreed. A very dense smoke that hits your lungs (though it may just be my rolling technique) and leaves you thinking happy thoughts about clouds and kittens for several hours. Walking the five or six miles back to the hotel felt like I was on a trampoline and I ended up singing a song to the moon to pass the time on the way home. It may seem slightly pricey to some at 11.50euro but it was worth every cent.

Ordered the gunpowder on site recommendations and I was gutted with what I received. A waste of my money. It was like a bag of yellow male plant pollen!

:o I LOVE THIS PLACE!

while staying at the City Hotel in Rembrandtsplein , I discovered this beauty towards the end of my journey .I strolled in and took a peek at the menu and while waiting behind someone I notice they charged tax and was a little put off.

So i bought something to drink and chatted it up with the young lady and waited to get her reaction to the smoke . She said it was "beautiful" so I bought 2 grms of "Bizzare" and 2 grms of " Haze" ( thats all it was called ) .

I decided to smoke the haze there and as soon as I opened the bag it was a smell like no other. SO sticky that i def. had to use a grinder, I rolled a nice J and was mindblown. Later that evening I smoked the Bizzare and it was just as great... I went to this shop the last 4 days of my trip and ended up buying around 12 grms of the "Haze" ...

I didnt care to try the Gunpowder or Temple ball ( I already had around 3 bags of "grey mist crystals" from GA and around 8 grms of "Kushage S&S Waterworks" hash from dampkring , also 3 grms of Jelly hash from BushDoc left) but will def. try next time this Nov.

Sorry to ramble , but I absolutley love this place and def. was my fav shop setting wise and the staff was as great (like every other shop I was in)
and will defintly be my first stop when I go back!

I think the "Haze" is a sig. strain there ( seeing as Ive tried lots of Haze strains throughout my life, and none were that sticky or mindblowing)

so........
does anyone know if its always /still on their menu?

Cheers!

the stix on korte konigstraat is great, in a nice residential area and close to the bluebird - maybe 5 minutes walk. their smokes are good quality too.

Stopped in last night on our first evening in town at the location on Utechtstraat, had a very friendly female budtender, got the recommended temple ball, and a gram each of bubblegum and Amnesia Haze. THe bubblegum is by far the better deal at 9/e a gm, or was it seven? In any case, fine smoke all around and a great friendly atmosphere.
