This place has a great atmosphere and the weed is of an extremely high quality- it is also fantastic value for money, one of if not the best in Amsterdam.

Super Silver Haze- Such a tasty, fragrant smoke and a great high- one of my favourites.

Cheese- Pungent and delicious

White Russian - only 7 euros a gram and a really nice smoke

Those are what I have recently tried off the menu and highly recommend though I doubt there is any poor quality on the menu. If you are strapped for cash you can purchase some laughing Buddah for 6 Euros and I think there is some hash for five Euros- even these are okay to smoke.

A must visit place- no doubt.

As a huge fan of the dampkring, their weed, staff and ambiance, I was excited to see the new shop.
Renovations are just about done and it's big. Awesome being able to get dampkring weed on the harlemmerstraat.

You seen the muppet reviewing this place of the map reviews page? 'The Dampkring corporate machine rages on' he said, corporate machine?? There are like three shops, it is a chain sure but... corporate machine? Heh heh, hardly. Its not as if Microsoft has moved in and taken over. How do you get your own reviews up there anyway?

If thats how he feels then he's allowed his opinion, I avoid Dampkring myself as I hate what they Barneys and Greenhouse are doing to the business.

The new place is looking very smart in those pics, I will certainly look forward to checking the place out for real in a couple of weeks.

Not really a fan of the original Dampkring shop itself, but I can never argue with their quality, price and choice on the menu.

From my experience it is still a good coffeshop to visit, with friendly staff. The weed is of usual Dampkring quality and the food/drinks are as good or better than they've ever been.

The dealers counter is now on the right as you walk in with the bar right at the back of the room. It's a very modern/chrome style interior and I think I preferred the more traditional look of the old Pink Floyd although there is still an excellent vibe in the coffeeshop.

The music was classic rock on my first visit last Saturday but it varied on my other visits to more modern/dancey stuff which is just so generic in Amsterdam these days. (Nb.sidenote; the Homegrown Fantasy played some classical jazz, the Hill Street at the Market were playing opera but the majority of the shops were playing the usual shite)

Anyway, despite the changes, the Pink Floyd/Dampkring is still worth a visit.

Oh dear, I'm going to be in the minority here but I really didn't like it that much.

The old place had such a nice vibe and on a return visit last week it was my first stop for 1g NYCD and a juice. There is no trace of the old PF, now it's all dance/chill tunes, chrome and metal tables, light boxes on the walls etc. Don't get me wrong it was all very nicely done, quite stylish if you like that kind of thing but I felt sad the old place had gone and had been replaced by such a contrast. Felt like the place had a bit of an edge to it (and that was before I'd had a smoke!).

Anyway, I won't be returning, other than to score! Wooden tables and nice tunes are much more my kind of thing (if you know what I mean)

God, I sound old!

Its not his opinion I picked holes in its calling a three chain coffeeshop a 'corporate machine'- Dampkring sells quality product for very reasonable prices I don't think its in the same boat as barneys just yet
