Of course you have absolutely no idea at all, but I appreciate your comment anyway. You just believe wrong. My tours are the most fantastic tours ever. Every single guest without exception has said it was the highlight of their trip. Many have hired my company for a second day after the first tour.

Are you one of the guys standing in the cues we laugh at?

cheers,

mh
Sorry MH, but I didnt mean to state your Tours are rubbish or a bad idea, everything I have read about your tours have been great and i've read through your website and in my original message i wished you good luck, as Boner said for a 1st timer a Ganja Tour may be really helpful, it was just my opinion that i personally wouldnt pay for your services as i believe i could tour the city by myself and have quite a good laugh on the way. Althought as i previously said that I believe you would be a cool person to have a conversation with about weed and its cultures and i've read your a top fella.I also thank you for you internal knowledge about how coffeeshops are run and how you bring this knowledge to the ACD community. But I do think that maybe you should have waited until after the 420 to disclose the interesting information you did.

As for laughing at people in cues... all in good fun mate :-) :D :D

Cut and paste from another thread as it is relevant here..
I have been just reading up on this 420 drama :D

OK, I understand MH point of view entirely. I know where he is coming from and I entirely understand his feelings. I wasn't at the meeting, but I don't need additional sources to verify what he said, as I am sure MH is telling the truth. The things is, does it matter?

Before you jump down my throat and start getting ready to throw all reasons at me why it does matter, I am going to tell you why it doesn't matter to me, and, in fact, why boycotting his shop is not good for the marijuana scene in general.

and remember, it's only my point of view....

I don't know Michael, I see him in the shop reguarly but I don't talk to him and he doesn't talk to me. I am just another € in the till. I don't think his wife likes either myself or my friend Ray... Wink They are the owners but at the end of the day they are not my experience. My experience is William, who is working very hard to get some of the nicest buds he can. He has upgraded the menu from Shiva to 420 Kush, he is pushing for Cheese on the menu, and he has a very good new strain of SSH on there, as other reports on this forum mention..

The staff are great peopleand friendly, it's an enjoyable atmosphere. At the end of the day, the ultimate goal is the legalisation of Marijuana, and the more places that sell Marijuana, regardless of their intentions with the money, are still an aid to that cause. Sure if you feel strongly enough then boycott it. I don't feel that Michael's approach is damaging to the absolute certainty that is Marijuana legalisation. If you know he won't co-operate, then don't use him anymore in the group, get others to make the presentations.

I guess it relates to how confident you feel in the legalisation of Marijuana. I know it is going to happen, within my lifetime barring terminal illness or sudden accidental death. I know Michael's attitude is not going to affect the outcome. Also I don't agree with any company that charges money for a product or service, and I don't agree with a society that has money, but I live in one. I understand how much you care about the fight, but you only care about the fight when you are unsure of the ultimate outcome. :D
I'd also like to say I think there was absolutely nothing wrong with Milehigh's timing. When else should you disclose news other than as soon as you hear about it? I don't understand why you would want anyone to ever withhold information. Sounds like you've been "Britished".

I do empahise with MileHigh, I have my own issues with which I support but I just don't expend my energy on useless causes. As I believe Marijuana legalisation is a certainty, I believe it is a useless cause and dedicate my time to other causes, while still doing my bit to educate and inform, I don't take the political struggle seriously. The reason is I know there are already people like Milehigh doing it. I believe Marijuana will be legalised because of people like Milehigh, and that the momentum doesn't need me to join the fight.

I am fighting for the poor homeless and defenceless cats that are turned out onto the streets when their owners no longer want them or cannot look after them any longer. Thats why I am signed up as a volunteer at the cat shelter. Milehigh rates his part in the battle for Marijuana higher than his battle for the cats, for me it's the opposite, but if we were the same, either Marijuana wouldn't be legalised, or the stray cats would be a big problem...

Everyone plays their own unique role in the world, and while you can be informed by other people's opinions, you should always make your own mind up in the end.

I dont think he heard it he just gave his opinion re: him personally, I think to a new visitor to the city/country a Ganja Tour would be a good way to go (I always say new visitors should take a canal tour with one of those large boats as they give you a feel to the city) but those that have been multiple times wouldn't get as much out of it as others.
As much as I love agreeing with you Boner, I think I might have to disagree with you there. Everyone can benefit from a Ganja Tour, because everytime you learn something new, and you get to smoke some killer weed. I don't think there is a Diesel as good as Milehighs in the whole of Amsterdam, well there certainly isn't in my experience..

The problem is Kingdoc, 92% of the people like this coffeeshop, yet most of the comments are negative. That doesn't give a balanced view. Can I ask you a question?

If you had 2 friends and you wanted to know about a topic, one hated the other loved. You wouldn't want to listen to the person talking all the time who hated the subject, as you are trying to find information about the topic. No if the friend who hated it said, sorry I hate it, gave his reasons and then never mentioned the topic again, that would be more helpful. Maybe replying to clarify a question.

The point I'm trying to make in a very stoned and mixed up way which may need clarification later is - If I don't like something, I will tell you when asked about it and why, then forget about it, I don't waste my energy on negative thoughts. If you don't like a coffeeshop, why not post that you don't like it, and then not post in the thread again until you have something new to add, posting the same comment over and over seems to make it like it is different people making the comment, do you get my meaning?

I like to think that forums should be places to gain information, repeatedly posting the same dislike for a place is not information. I am not having a moan, just trying to explain my thoughts on why it isn't neccesary to keep posting the same opinion of the 420. Again I am stoned and attempting to be a wise inspired person :)

Hold on hold on. I think we're missing a huge issue here guys.

SR your part of a homeless cat shelter? Thats pretty cool man, do you have to look after them for a bit or just donate money?

I agree with alot of the orignal post of SR, i am the same, cannabis legalisation is a big issue, but i donate my money personaly to Amnesty international. I belive the issues they fight for are more in need of my support.

Me i dont care if the 420's owner is only thinking bout money , that has nothing to do with me. But this coffeeshop is nothing special at all, its small, hard to find a seat, not comfortable, its looks a dump and there were far too many yanks in there when i was there. Soo many other shop are much more pleasant than this shitty 420!

I love this coffee shop - the staff, buds, music/atmos were all great. I don't care if the owner is all about the Euro. Until I'm treated badly I will still frequent the 420 cafe. After all I still eat a McDonalds now and then and they are up to way worse no doubts :D

edit - not that I'm saying they are the Mcdonalds of coffee shops that would have to be one of the bigger chains 8)

So what if the owner of 420 don't wanna donate dosh to charity organisations - and so what if he thinks all Cannabis smokers are shite and cannabis is shite, it's his business - and he knows what he's doing...

I know what I'm talkin about, let me prove my point... My father has a clothes shop which sells outsize (large sizes) womens wear... the shop is small, and he does all the buying (what would my old man know about outsize clothing?) and is still in business after 20 years...

Either he's lucky, or he's a good businessman - the art of good business is being a good middle man...

My father is the middleman between the clothing and the customer...

The owner of de-kuill420 is the middleman between the herbs and the consumer... If his gear was shite - then he'd be a bad businessman... and I'd see reason not to go there...

And one other thing, you cant knock a guy coz he's got an opinion which is in direct conflict with his day to day life... Many of us work jobs we'd rather see the back of! But we still go into work in the morning... does that make us hypocrites?

If someone don't wanna go into 420 cafe then there's plenty more to choose from... I havent been here yet so i'll be checking it out.

I hate asking people for o[inions if I know I'm going to want to experience the event myself - my own experience will be my own opinion - not your opinion - not anybodys... lol (not pointing at anyone inparticular - just venting) :D
... as long as it aint a cheque ;)
