"The cameras are pointed at the doors, not at the stoners chilling out. Only some coffeeshops do it because only some need to, location, size, local patrons, profits on premises and council/police involvement due to 'issues' together make up the reason why."

It's funny how you selectively quoted me on everything cept that.
Forgetting how to read again, are we? Or are you simply blind? I did quote you and I did respond.

What is all this crap about?

I have worked/or managed in 13 bars. Everyone of my bars had a no hat rule. You can conceal something under a hat, therefore you cannot wear it.

All these bars/pubs were in England. How come you have never heard of the rule outside of the coffeeshops? Almost every Bar in England has this rule. Why does it come as a  to anyone to be asked to remove a hat

Surely if someone owns a buisness they have a right, due to ownership, to set the rules in which he wants his buisness to run by. While of course considering the rules in which the country sets a buisness should be run by. Their buisness, their rules.

I dont think it comes as a shock to anyone when asked to remove their hat... i just think its the manner in which people are sometimes shouted at when they dont even know a hat rule is in place. Rules are rules and must be followed,

Not round my manor, we do not have any kind of hat rule. And i've not been in to many pubs that have asked me to take my hat off. But i have more that ofter been asked to remove my hat when in bars and trendy clubs up the west end.

As for concealing things under hats...This dont really make sense as you would normally be subject to a search before going into most worthwhile bars and clubs, and therefore your hat would have been checked... you can conceal a weapon/drugs etc in your pocket, did you have a no pocket rule also in the bars you worked in?

Im against the no hat rule because if i choose to wear a hat, that is MY choice, my head might be cold or i might have a dodgy hair style lol. But as much as im against it, i follow it as rules are rules, if you dont ike it, simply, find another shop!!!!!...

And all this debate over hat policy.. this is what the ACD forum is all about

:P

@LS - Hey man, I didn't make the decision, I just enforced it :P) But it is now a rule in all the major chains in the UK. The concealing under/in a hat issue is the 'official answer' from any of these companies. they sometimes also mention better identification from cameras etc, but the line always given about the hat rule is concealing. You can conceal in a hat, as well as under it :)

Oh and getting barked at to remove a hat when I go into a coffeeshop... Never happens to me, because I always remove my hat before going into a CS. Too many years living and working in Britain removing my hat :)

:D :D :D LMFAO :D :D :D

Pull your head outta your ass SR - You enforced it? - what you? Did you go around all the Coffeshops and Bars you've worked in confiscating hats off people :D ... Or like does your Word carry so much Weight that if you say jump - the whole crowd JUMPS? :D lol dread - poor choice of words... What you shoulda written was - "I agree with the rule and abide by it where I can"- coz if you told me to take my hat off mate - I would probably laugh... :D But when in Rome... and all that - Just dont want a Brit crying Roman rules... weird as fuck mate... I'd rather hear it from a local, i'd respect that more (you aint a local til you speak their tongue - dream in their language).

As for what LiquidSwords wrote - Its all true mate - in our ends, no1 tells us to take hats off, there is no need! Period! So being shouted at in coffeeshops to "TAKE HAT OFF - VE HEFF NO HAT POISHY ERE" is just down right Arrogant/Ignorant/Stupid coz one day a crazy Brit (probably me) will shout back "OK I'LL TAKE THE DAMN THING OFF AND STUFF IT UP YOUR ARSE YOU FUCKING WASTEMAN!!!"

Asking nicely however... Hmmm... I can dig that... and take my hat off, order some weed and a chocomel, and chill out...

I mean who wants their buzz spoilt by the staff of a coffeeshop before they've even schmoked...

BTW - yeah dude! June is our next trip apparently - see you there SR! Peace~!
... as long as it aint a cheque ;)

Sometimes other people can phase your viewpoints on something much better than you can....
What you must understand is that this is the best Weed site on the net, and the reason it is the best site is because we dont tolerate abuse here - instead we air our opinions in a manner which is logical and friendly

Sorry TD, couldnt resist.
