Just got back from my first visit to Amsterdam and made the pilgrimage to Grey Area. Bought the Chocolope and some Silver something. Made it right as they were closing so I didn't get to spend much time with the menu. I was definitely happy with my purchase----nice stinky, sticky, tasty smoke that reminded me of stuff I used to get in California in the late eighties/early nineties. Made it to a few other Coffeeshops but only to smoke and have a drink. I just don't recommend getting high and going to the Anne Frank house---especially if you're claustrophobic! That was something I won't forget.

:D a whole way to use the term "Take-away"

the Sour Diesel was distinctively delicious, and devilishly divine...

If I was heading here I'd take a peek at that East Coast Sour D. I believe it got another good review. That's also 'cause I'm on a Chem/Dawg-Sour D-OG Kush trip. I think it could be at least worth a look/sniff.

In London I've schmoked the best Cheese i've come across... but its not available on tap. So if I really wanna smoke Cheese, and i cant even get hold of standard shit - time to go Dam and get high. and send some back...

Geoffk, had that East Coast Sour Diesel, and it rocks!

Just seeing how they do it elsewhere. How do I know I have a better example if I don't try others? Compare and contrast my friend. However, I was stating above that this strain sounds like a good one to watch out for those planning an upcoming trip. Honestly, I'd rather go to Amsterdam than California for a smoking vacation.

stew1974 wrote:TD whats your point? I asked geoffk a legitimate question. i stated i was questioning not criticising his choice. The reason why? There are dozens of posts from our American counterparts saying that the ChemDawg, Sour-D, OG kush, Trainwreck, Manatuska Thunderfuck wipes the floor with anything, quality wise, thats available in Amsterdam and is available on tap. There are many reasons to visit Amsterdam including good smoke and have never questioned the need of any American or indeed anybody's choice to visit. All i was doing was asking, not criticising, geoffk why he would choose familiar strains well known to him instead of ones which weren't. Personally when i'm on holiday i like to try different and unfamiliar things, but others prefer familiarality. There are many answers to the question i posed including, they're my favourite strains, i'd like to compare the quality, i want to compare these strains to what else is available, i love these strains but where i live they are not always available etc etc. TD i believe the difference of airfare between London and the Rocky Mountains to Amsterdam is tremendous which further legitimatises my question. geoffk can't say oh darn it no chemdawg this week, oh well i'll just pop across to Amsterdam then.
Easy Tiger (Growl Growl) I never said you was being a critic did I? Just giving you plausible reasons as to why I would go Stew... probably reasons why most stoners go actually!

Yeah - when I'm in Dam, I dont just get the cheese coz that's what I like, last trip I didnt buy any cheese at all... LiquidSwords was buying it so I bought other "different" strains which we don't get here locally... Its Schmoke aint it? lol and I love to try something different as much as the next guy... But strains from the USA do have a big reputation - My cousin who lives out in California says the shit he gets there is better than what he's had in Amsterdam too. Dont think he's being patriotic with that statement - more stating it as a fact in his opinion...

As for the whole trip to Amsterdam - from the USA to Amsterdam is a lot more costly, yes, I am aware - lol - but Amsterdam is the only place in the world to sport coffeeshops, and if you really wanna schmoking holiday Stew, the ballpark is Amsterdam! :)

On a similar note, I have yet to hear any good of Greenhouse's Chem/Dawg. My bets are with GA's ECSD and maybe CM's Sour D. Not that I'm planning a trip to get these strains [my new disclaimer]

Well, fo sho the Grey Area's Eas Coast Sour Diesel is a stinker... I love this strain form theis coffeeshop so do try this one Geoffk.

Greenhouse has always been hit and miss - but don't rule it out, have a look and smell of the buds - if they look special then get em... otherwise there are other places to get better versions of strains.

Mate - you got me thinking about that East Coast Sour Diesel now... lol 8)
