Sorry to have taken a while to post this report, (Work, Etc, Etc.)
The wife and I spent a very enjoyable weekend in Leiden a couple weeks back.
First of all I wish to thank fellow forum member 'Hippy_man99' for his spot on advice regarding the best places in town.
Unfortunatly due to time constraints we only got to visit one CS and that was Double AA at Nieuwe Beestenmarkt 5.
Quite a large establishment for a 'buy & fly' opperation (no toking on the premises) the budtender was very friendly and really knew his stuff, being a bit of an indica fan he recomended the DNA @ 10E/g (5g for 40E)
it was really well grown and cured and a very nice smoke.
The wife (who is no pot head but likes the occaisional smoke) went for the Blue Cheese @ 13E/g (5g for 52E) compleatly ignoring the budtenders advice to maybe try something a little less potent to begin with, and was promptly knocked flat on her ass after less than one Joint!
If you find yourself in Leiden, I would seriously recomend a visit to Double AA.

I belive Leiden is were there is a wind mill museum, in a old grain mill that you can climb to the top. It is also were you catch the bus to the Keukenhof in the spring time for the tulips, been to Leiden never to the AA, thanks for the CS tip.

hahaha man that blue cheese is killer! One of the really strong strains in town...

I like the DNA as well, but most of their indicas are quite nice....

Been back to Leiden last week, this time the wife spent far too much time looking in estate agents windows! (she has her heart set on relocating there when I retire at the end of the year)
Called in at Double AA for some 'stock' and was offered a lovely weed that went by the name of 'Mr Nice'... Now, it takes some damn good weed to knock me over but this stuff absoloutly murdered me!
Smoked 1 joint and 'lost' , and I mean 'lost' the next 2 hours! (To the point were the wife was actually concerned for my health!!)
Gotta love the place!

P.S. hippy-man, also got to 'Leiseplein', lovely CS, and I see what you mean about their White Widdow... Nice!!

I think Double AA is by far the best CS in lieden, I did try other CS and found the customer service wasn't as great as Double AA.

I have been a few times when camping in Wassenaar, I was there 4 weeks ago and tried the Mr Nice.

I liked the special powder at 30e a gram the best and the crystal hash was a great smoke to, come to think of it everything from that CS was great.

I am in the process of getting my trip report typed out and have great respect for the budtenders in Double AA.

Don't see many reviews from Leiden coffeeshops here on the forum, decided to add my experience here. I have had several kinds of weed from here, always had good quality weed. Definitively one of my go to shops in Leiden. I've had a couple of items from their menu, here are my experiences:

Sativa

• Mr. Nice - Definitively my favorite here, very strong indica. Used it with a vaporizer, seriously strong energetic high, was dancing through the house
  Super Silver Haze - Different kind of smell on this one, nice smoke, smooth high, not too hard.

Indica

• Sensi Star - This weed knocks me off my ass everytime, really heavy stoned feeling, very good
  Morning Glory - Less heavy than the Sensi Star, still a very strong stoned feeling, bit more controllable than the Sensi
  White Widow - Very nice and relaxing stoned feeling, lasted quite long.

Two words of advice for this shop (and Eerste Kamer in Leiden):
1. The 23 euro deals are good, you get a free pack of rolling papers or roaches
2. They'll always ask for Photo ID, also for any person that you bring in with you (even if they're not buying). Not everyone likes this, but I guess they have to do this. Never really bothered me though, but it's good to know for any one going there.

great shop,stop and go,but the weed is brillant,mr nice is worth the drive,easily the best shop in town,i bought a lot from here and smoke on my trip though holland

My first ever coffeeshop purchase was here way back...returned today and the quality on the Mr Nice was fantastic although at €14 it has to be.
Quality as always still the best quality I've seen in Leiden so far this trip.
