Mailing seeds to the US?

I've searched and searched on this subject but everything I come up with only relates to those of you that are fortunate enough to live in Europe.

Has anyone from the US bought seeds in the 'dam and had success mailing them home? If so, how were they packaged?

It'd be nice to get some advice from the shop owners about quality/yield/duration, buy the seeds right in the shop and know what's being sent home. I've read sending actual bud is almost impossible due to US Customs, but as seeds have no smell I was hoping this route would be a possibility.

Also, if someone in the US should want seeds, would it be easier/safer to purchase them from a seedbank online? And if so, could someone please provide a couple proven and reputable seedbanks (preferrably Canadian)?

I apologize about bringing this up as I'm quite sure it's been beaten to death...but I just can't find the answers I'm looking for *sigh*. Sorry for being such a noob

Thanks, Bone-dizzle! A "friend" may have to give them a try after a trip to AMS and trying some different products. That bank looks legit and easy to use...plus being Canadian is a little more encouraging. I'd bet they're quite familiar with getting things to the States.

BTW, Bone, I have to say this without trying to sound like I'm kissing your arse too much, but after lurking for a while it seems like you give a lot of pertinent and helpful advice...so thanks for that and keep up the good work, my friend *golf clap*

I'd certainly trust a recommendation from you. When you say that "people have said very good things" I certainly believe you. If things work out, my friend will have to relay a report to me so I can confirm your suggestion

Sick! That's not a bad idea at all! Should the seeds be removed from the packaging and dropped in one of the holes...seal with tape or something? That should be safe, right?

NO reliable company will send seeds to the US, given the severe penalties imposed by your government on anyone sending seeds to US.
--> Marc Emery case comes to mind. Former Yank "drug czar" Walters called him biggest trafficker, simply for selling seeds?? If extradited to US, he could face a life sentence.

I reckon that no sensible person/firm would take those kind of risks.

I could make a list of about 10 seed banks that'll send seeds to the US, some even openly advertise on their website that they'll send them to the US, looks like they like saying a big 'fuck you' to the DEA.

IMO, the USA has worst things to fear then some pot seeds. I think if your discreet about how you package them, it will be fine. I got back all 5 of my packages from amsterdam and get regular shipments from Humbolt county without worries. Just be discreet.

I was certainly under the impression that there are at least a few quite reputable seedbanks that sell to the US...I just didn't know exactly which ones

The sole reason I asked about Canadian seedbanks was because I thought they'd have more experience with successfully mailing seeds to US residents. With the obviously HUGE demand for their product in the US, I'm sure they've figured out how to ship here and cover their own asses at the same time.

TBH, the bank that Boner recommended seems very good. They don't accept credit cards (which I highly approve of) and even post a report of returned packages so people are aware of when their package gets returned to the supplier. There's no way to even prove that the recipient ordered those seeds. They also have some extremely reasonable prices so if someone decided to purchase their most inexpensive seeds, and had them shipped to an address without their real name on the package, even if they don't make it they're only out $50. Oh well *shrug*. It was worth the money just to see if it worked out.

Personally, I'm pretty confident that ordering from this particular bank would get the goods delivered.

With all that being said, depending on the price of seeds I think when "someone" visits Amsterdam they'll try the cardboard and birthday card trick. If it doesn't make it, it doesn't make it...that sucks *shrug*.

like homie was saying most people get actual weed mailed to them bye none other than the USPS, and they swear by it. So a few seeds is nothing to sweat.

If thats all you want the seeds for then whatever!
If you plan on smoking the growth, then it takes more then just having seeds from Amsterdam.

Smuggling seeds is the worst of your worries........

you are wrong or misinformed my friend....alot of seed companies ship here..good ones...guess my pics lie eh?..jus sayin...and f marc emery..biggest rip off ever......heres a good one.. allsalvia UK...4 days from UK....research and ye will learn....theres a ton of good ones and i gave ya one of the best..enjoy,,
